94X began with a simple, sobering realization: the average American works 160 hours a month. The average Christian in America spends about 1.7 hours a month at church. Do the math, and it means the people you work alongside are far more likely to experience Christ through how you work than through anything said from a pulpit.
That's why 94X Movement is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built around a simple mission: "At 94X, we equip and empower believers to unite so that, together, we share the love of God through our work."
Your job isn't a distraction from ministry — for most of us, it's the biggest mission field we'll ever have. And that's true whether you're the one signing the paychecks or the one clocking in every morning. 94X is for every Christian in the workplace, not only business owners and executives — because everyone's work can be worship.

Below are the 12 Principles of 94X — practical, Scripture-rooted ways of showing Christ's love through your work, wherever you sit on the org chart.
The 12 Principles of 94X
Principle 1: Abiding
You can't bring God into your work until you've invited Him into your life. Abiding means staying rooted in a daily relationship with Christ - everything else about how you work flows from that connection.
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” — John 15:4
Principle 2: Authenticity
Be the same person in the break room that you are on Sunday morning. Faith that's real doesn't clock in and out — and people notice the difference between someone performing and someone living it.
“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other!” — Revelation 3:15-16
Principle 3: Calling
Your work isn't separate from your faith - it can be an expression of it. Whatever your role, however ordinary the task looks, it can become a form of worship and service, not just a paycheck.
“For by him all things were created... all things have been created through him and for him.” — Colossians 1:15-16
Principle 4: Courage
Following God's lead at work will sometimes ask you to do something that feels risky, awkward, or scary. Courage means obeying anyway, trusting that He goes with you.
“Be strong and courageous and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you.” — 1 Chronicles 28:20
Principle 5: Generosity
Generosity reflects the character of God, the ultimate giver. It's not just about writing checks - it's giving your time, your attention, your encouragement, and your resources freely.
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” — 2 Corinthians 9:7
Principle 6: Love
Every other principle falls flat without this one. People can always tell the difference between a workplace that talks about faith and one that's actually run on love.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind... Love your neighbor as yourself.” — Matthew 22:36-40
Principle 7: Obedience
Obedience means trusting that God's plans for your work are better than your own - even when His direction is inconvenient, unfamiliar, or hard to explain to everyone else.
“Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” — John 14:23
Principle 8: Purpose
Your work exists for more than profit or performance. When you commit it to God, He gives it a purpose that outlasts any quarter, any title, any bottom line.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” — Proverbs 16:3
Principle 9: Relationship
We were made for community, not isolation. The relationships you build with coworkers, clients, and the people around your workday are where faith stops being an idea and starts being real.
“Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” — Romans 12:10
Principle 10: Teamwork
None of us were meant to do this alone. When believers show up for each other at work - encouraging, praying, carrying the load together - God shows up in the middle of it.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” — Matthew 18:20
Principle 11: Transparency
Honesty and openness build a kind of trust that no amount of polish or spin ever could. A transparent workplace reflects God's character, not just good PR.
“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” — Proverbs 11:3
Principle 12: Values
Let what you believe actually shape how you lead, decide, and treat people — every day, not just when it's convenient or when someone's watching.
“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’” — Matthew 22:37

94X was founded by Sean Kouplen and Mick Schovanec. While serving as Oklahoma's Secretary of Commerce, Sean began praying about what God had next for him — and the words “faith” and “business” kept coming back. Later, as CEO of Regent Bank, he realized his employees were in his care roughly 94 times more hours a month than they were in a church. It started with a daily devotional, then became a book, and has now grown into an entire movement. The 94X Movement has become a resource to help believers everywhere — not just leaders like Sean — bring their faith fully into their work.
